Be Grateful In Life

Last week when I was working, my brother suddenly called my and told me that Rocky was ill; at first I thought it was just a small matter. The next morning, my brother called me again, and this time he sound very panic. He told me they are just back from the vet, and he said that Rocky’s liver swell. Which cause he bleed non-stop from the nose. I pause for a while after knowing what happen; my brain had stop thinking, I don’t know what to do that time, suddenly to receive news like this, should I cry, feel sad, or to get worry?

Rocky is like a family member in the Chin’s family, I’ve watch he grow up from a little puppy to a big dog, he accompany me when I’m happy and bored, and sad, I bring him to walk in the evening, we play catch together, I bath him, my brother and I tech him manner, I talk to him. He cannot just die like this, cause I am still thinking of buying a big bone for him on this coming Chinese New Year when I go back home.

My brother keep on updating me on Rocky’s condition, he keep on bleeding from his nose. When Rocky sneezing each time there is more blood coming out. That night parent and brothers didn’t sleep well, everyone take turn to look after Rocky and feed him medicine. My brother told me that time when they bring Rocky to see the vet, he was holding Rocky, and when Rocky sneeze, my brother body was all cover by Rocky’s blood. My tears almost drop when I notice this. The second day, I cannot concentrate on my work, that night I went to the temple to seek my seniors and ask them to help to pray for Rocky. And they are all very kind, and start to help me pray to hope Rocky can get well. And I’ve also promises that if Rocky recover, I will eat vegetarian one month.

Thank god, now Rocky is slowly recover from his illness. After this incident, it awakens me that life is very precious and unpredictable; we don’t know what will happen next, there is no guaranty in life. So what ever we want to eat, eat it now. Where we plan to go, go now. Pretty girl that you like, ask her out now. Words you want to say to family, brothers, sisters, person you miss, tell them now. Don’t take life for granted, and must be grateful everyday that we’re live healthy and happily.

I was shock when notice Rocky got sick. His liver swelling, the vet said let him eat medicine first, and monitor him for five days, if there is still no improvement, he might need to go for operation.

He barely open his eyes, his nose keep on bleeding. My heart felt very painful, for the first time in my life I felt the fear of loosing a family member.

this photo is taken early in the am, my brother told me that Rocky’s body very cold, and he keep on shaking.

Very fortunate, Rocky had slowly recover. He stop bleeding, and now he is playing roll over with my brother.

My mom is pampering him, he likes people pamper him. Thank god he is ok now.
---------------------------------------
Lesson learn – Don’t take life for granted, there is no guaranty that I can wake up next morning healthy. So if there is any thing that we want to do, eat, talk, feel, go, and etc. DO IT NOW :)

Dinner @ Dragon-I Restaurant

My cousin live at Bandar Utama, that night he bring me to the very famous Dargon-I restaurant. It’s famous because of its noodle and Shang Hai dumpling. When we reach, the seat was full. We have to take number and wait, and while we’re waiting I took the time to take some few shoots. There is terra-cotta solder from the Qing Dynasty was guarding outside the restaurant.

At the main entrance, there is a counter for customer to take number to wait for their turn. And behind the counter is a big sign writing “龍的傳人” which mean something like The Legend of Dragon. We wait for about half an hour, and finally there is a sit for two. Inside the restaurant was full of people. Waiter walking here and there, and communicate with each others with a walky-talky, a very good coordination. I open the menu, and ordered the very famous “上海小龙包” Shang Hai small dumpling. When my noodle arrives, didn’t expect it would be such a big bowl. Legend of Dragon, two thumbs up.

Communication Breakdown

Another two boring hours of bus ride from PD to KL. When reach Pasar Seni LRT station, I bid good bye with my friends. They are going to meet uncle Lim at Genting, and I’m going back to Kuching first. I didn’t go with them, cause I just meat uncle Lim two months ago, and took some money from him, I think he is not happy about that.

My flight are 7:00am next morning, which mean I need to wake up at 4:00a.m, to prepare and check in at the airport one hour before the departure time. That night I’m staying at my cousin brother place. I called him; I don’t know where he lives. He asked me to take the LRT to the second last station Taman Bahagia, and he will pick me there. So I did what he told me, and bough a ticket to Taman Malati. 20 minutes later I finally reach, but my cousin haven’t arrive yet. I call him again:

Wilson : Cuz, where are you? I’m at the main entrance now.
Cuz : I’m at the main entrance as well, my car is white color.
Wilson: *look around* I don’t see any white car, there are many taxi here, and an uncle selling roti canai in his white modify roti canai bus. You’re the roti canai uncle kah?
Cuz: Roti Canai? Hm~~What is the name of your station?
Wilson: er..letme see, is Taman Malati.
Cuz: Oh you’ve gone to the wrong station, is actually at the other end of the station. You need to take the train and come to the other end, is at the second stop.
Wilson: *pause for a while* :S … ooooother end, oh ok. You don’t run away, i’m cccccoming nowwwww….

Great!!! I look at the roti canai uncle for a while, and took a photo of him. Then head back to the ticket counter bough a new ticket to the correct location Taman Bahagia. It’s boring inside the LRT, no music, no pretty girl, and not enough places to sit. It took me almost one hour to reach stupid Taman Bahagia….

don’t know the name of this snack but it taste great, but must finish it while sill crispy and hot.

I bough RM1

my cousin told me to take the LRT from Pasar Seni to Taman Bahagia..

look at the map to see where am I now, and where is my destination.

is a 15 minutes ride, which cost me RM2.30

inside the LRT, no place to sit down, no place to put my luggage, no music, and no pretty girls.

when I reach Taman Melati, I called my cousin again. He told me that he’s waiting me in front of the main entrance.

I follow the Exit sign, and reach the main entrance. I can see there is a roti canai uncle, a water stall, a motorbike, but didn’t see my cousin.

I told my cousin I’m in front of the taxi stand, he then asked what is the name of my place. I told him is Taman Melati. He was like 0_o”

it leave me no choice but to bough anther ticket to go to meet my cousin, look on the bright side at least I get to took some photos, get to stand in the LRT for 20 minutes, get to… you know…do nothing.

On my way to Taman Bahagia now, and if not mistaken I think this is the HQ of Telecom Malaysia.

Finaly I reach my destination. My leg feel numb, I need to sit down.

Next time I should bring a GPS.

In the Sphere of Silence

Though the food are crap, and all the “rumors” about the hotel. But I was glad that I went for the camp. The camp is to help me to rediscover myself, seek the real Wilson. Identify what is the Wilson now, and make a change of it, and make decision. First day of the camp, I was like what the. I know who I am, and I know how to make decision. So I was regretting to come to this stupid camp. But when the camp goes along, especially when the guru asks us be in the silence, at first I was not concentrate, and fail. But when I start to pay attention, here slowly I feel the soul the spirit, I come into a harmony status with the cadence of the universe. I somehow found “that space” inside me.

From the time I born, there is a continuous din that hits and assails my senses. It never ceases even when I’m asleep. I feast my senses on a continuous array of new toys, new scenes, and new pleasures but there is rarely a true, peaceful moment. So the camp had developed a process of being in the sphere of silence to lead me to the silence within me, only through silence that I find my inner being.

In the process, being in the sphere of silence will address the imbalance that exists in myself, and will guide me to come to terms with the things that I need to do. Eventually, to become better at who I am and what I am and why I am here. Ultimately, this will bring me to who Wilson will be.

The Sphere of Silence to the mind is like the Lotus flower to sunlight. Just as the Lotus flower opens up its petals to sunlight, the mind is the Sphere of Silence, opens to receive the knowledge that lead me to wisdom. At first is very hard for me to absorb that the guru had tough me, but when I read back the book again, I then start to understand slowly. But I still need time to digest, and learn along my life path. May we all learn, make decision, and change in our own life.

The Beautiful Costa Rica Hotel

Two hours later we reach the Costa Rica/Le Paris hotel. The Resort Hotel offers 207 guestrooms and 109 apartments, all fully appointed and luxuriously furnished with all the modern amenities. It had one swimming pool, a 6-lane bowling alley, and…I guess that’s about it.

The camp organizer had arrange me to live in room 706. When I step in the elevator, I notice it has 13th floor, and 13thA Floor. Most of the building will avoid using 13, but how come Costa Rica like it so much? No wonder its famous on all the *cough* haunted stories *cough*. Opss did I say that out loud!!! Sorry~~

Hope you like my photos :)

I was located on the 7th floor, on room706.

There are no win, no wave, no white sand, no hot chick, no nothing.

I miss the beach at Damai Kuching.

on the coast line, there’re a lot of tinny sea shells. If put all this into my tinny fish tank back home, I think my fish will like it. (by my Olympus)

My friend had caught a crab, after took photo of it, we let it go back to the sea.(by my Olympus)

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner @ Costa Rica

The food, I’ll give it a 4 out of 10. Very disappointed with the food there, the management should definitely do something on the food, or he/she should at lest taste the food him/herself. Second day dinner, my friends and I were the first who go for dinner. I took a lot of curry, and bean curd. Just when I ate my bean curd, it taste “different” I tough I’m the only one who tasted this wired, I ask my fiends, they all said they taste the same. I have no mood to continue my dinner, We all went to the class with a half full stomach.

Day 2, Breakfast

Day 2, Lunch

Day 2, Dinner

Day 2, fruits

Day 3, Breakfast. I like the egg

Day 3, Lunch. Have bean curd phobia, so better take less.

Day 3, after lunch. After my friend finish his lunch, he discover there is this tinny worm mix with the vegetable. OMG!!! Dear readers, next time if you guys go there, better bring a box of instant noodles.

The Costa Rica Resort a.k.a. Le Paris Resort and Beach

After breakfast, we then head to the bus station to buy ticket. It cost RM7.00 from K.L to Port Dickson damn cheap. At K.L they can go anywhere from state to state with cheap price, but at Sarawak just from Kuching to Sibu a simple few hours bus ride also cost more than RM40. During my college time, I’ve use bus once from Kuching to Sibu to visit my cousin, and after I reach Sibu I make a promise to myself that this is the first and last time I’ll ever use a bus to anyplace within Sarawak. So next time I travel, I prefer plane, the price is more or less the same.

Now before I went to PD, I’ve googled a lot of information from the net. And from the net I can see the resort that I’m staying are beautiful and grand. I still remember in primary school, I use to learn from text book that Pork Dickson is a tourist destination, and is famous for its beautiful beach. Well, it is “beautiful” alright…

My friend told me Costa Rica is famous of its haunted stories. A lot of testimony from the people I know around me, they advice me not to stay up too late during my stay there. Did I encounter any “thing” from there? Email me and I’ll tell you my story. My dear reader, next post will be the “Beautiful” view on the resort, and the “Tasty” food.

Counter No.9, I bough my ticket here

955007 my ticket serial number (the next lottery first price number), it cost RM7 from KL to PD.

We depart at Platform 14.

Pudu bas station beside selling bus tickets, for me it’s also like a wet market. Very noisy, hot, and stink.

Finaly I can sit down, enjoy the aircon, and sleep. Yesterday it was a torture, six people sleep in one tiny room.

I sleep, awake, sleep, awake again. Notice there’s a lot of long vehicle. Take the opportunity to test my shooting skill on fast moving object.

I still need more practice.

Port Dickson 32KM away, beautiful beach, hot chick here I come.

The Costa Rica resort, we actually walk from the bus terminal at PD to Costa Rica, the distant was 500M. We’re lucky it didn’t rain that time.

My friend told me that Costa Rica had change her name to Le Paris Hotel Resort. Wonder why?

Sorry for the blur photos. Photos are shoot by my camera phone. I need to save the memory space on my Olympus camera for other beautiful beach scene.

Breakfast @ Petaling Street

The six of us over night at a tiny room, it was a nightmare last night. But lucky it was just one night. So the next morning, my friends and I went to Petaling Street to eat porridge, my friend told me that the porridge here is the best.

I ordered fish porridge, the fish meat still raw, and I mix it to my porridge. The porridge was very hot; I’ve burn my tongue because of it. I don’t know how they made it, but the porridge remains hot until the very last scoop I ate. This porridge are very sticky, and the taste is really good. To compare with the porridge I like at Kuching here and here, my comments is that each of them have their own unique taste, they cannot be compare.

early breakfast at petaling street, later we need to catch the bus to Port Dickson.

fresh flesh, I like it

look tasty right? The famous fish porridge (RM4) at Petaling Street.

Very Spicy Fish

During my trip to KL last week, my friends and I went to Petaling Street to had our dinner. He told me that there is this famous spicy fish stall, the fish is wrap in aluminum foil, with a lot of chili and curry on it. I’m not use to spicy food, but since it’s famous I might as well give it a try. The place is somewhere at a small lane, beside spicy fish, they also serve spicy squid. It took us a while to wait for a sit for six people. We order squid, fish, and our own drinks.

The food was nice, but was too spicy. I feel no other taste but spicy, I sweat some more. Most of my gang they can take spicy food, they even can eat the spicy fish juice without mix it with rice. I really salute them, wait till I can take extra spicy food, then I’ll come here again next time.

Bye bye Kuching, I’ll miss you.

The haze condition still not optimistic, hope it will rain more this month to wash away the haze.

We stay at a hotel somewhere near Pudu bus station. We will be heading to Port Dickson tomorrow by using bus.

The owner use a small lane to operate their business. It was full when the time we reach, we had to wait for a while for empty seats.

My sugarcane juice.

Spicy squid, or should I call it Very Spicy squid.

Very spicy fish, I’m not sure how to categories this dish. It is a curry or chili soup?

Mooncake class with Jing

The night before mooncake festive, my friend little Jing came to the temple to learn on how to make mooncake. My friend were making more mooncake to sells and as present. When Jing arrive she was just in time to learn from the beginning.

The flavor of the mooncake can be purchase from most of the supermarket. You can choose any flavor you like to go with the mooncake.

This is the “skin” of the mooncake, they make three types of color. Yellow, Green, and White.

Roll the flavor into a ball shape, this is to wrap it with the mooncake’s “skin”.

How to mix the skin color. Well you just need to choose the color you like, roll it into noodle shape, and mix the two or three color together.

and put the flavor in the middle, wrap it with the skin that you prepare just now. And dump it into the mould. And walah!!! The mooncake is ready.

This is my buddy, little Jing learning to make mooncake. So next time if Jing want to give mooncake as present, better don’t *cough* eat *cough*… :P

So I asked Jing, what kind of mooncake you will get if you mix Black, Pink, and White together? Well, the answer is HERE. 98% of this are made by my friend, so where is the 2% go? Who made it?

The answer is hidden at HERE
-----------------------------------------------
I’ll be going to KL tomorrow, and will be back on Monday. So my post continue on the next day I’m back. My dear readers see you guys next week. Happy reading, and have a nice weekend.

The Opening Ceremony

We invited a lots of people who donate to the temple and our friends and family to come and enjoy the opening ceremony of our little Buddhist temple. One of my friend from the society, her family are doing bakery business, so she had sponsor three beautiful cake for the temple.

This one is for our temple.

This one is for our Buddhist Youth society.

This one is for the opening ceremony.

Fried Nuggets and Prawns, vegetarian style :P

Fried Nuggest

Just a few dishes left and this opening ceremony post will be complete. Now come to the last three dishes, and we’re going to make fried nuggets.

The ingredients are:
1. Bread
2. Vegetarian ham meat
3. Cookie power
4. Water
5. Flour

Instructions:
fried_bred_01
First peal the bred skin out, cause we only use the white part, for the skin don’t throw it away. Maybe can give mix some milk and give it to our dog and they might like it.
Then, cut the vegetarian ham into 6CM long, and 1CM wide (must be very precise) :P

fried_bred_02
After that, we roll each vegetarian ham meat into a piece of bred. Just like a mini hotdog. But make sure it hold the ham tight enough cause when we fried it later, we don’t want the ham to run away.

fried_bred_03
Take a bow of water, and mix it with the flour, stir it until it is well mix.

fried_bred_04
Next, dip the roll ham into the flour, and dip it again to the cookie powder.

fried_bred_05
Wait until the oil is hot enough, then slowly put the roll ham into the oil to fry it.

fried_bred_06
Fried until the color become golden brown, here is a close up look at the nugget.

fried_bred_07
Add some decoration and this is set to be serve.

Fried Prawn
After finish frying the nuggets, do not throw away the flour yet. Cause our second dish is the Fried Prawn.

So the ingredients are:
1. Flower like vegetable (please email me and teach me how to say this in enligh) Cauliflower...thanks Jeff for the info :)
2. Water
3. Flour

Instructions:

fried_veggie_08
Clean and make sure it is not wet, and take this flower like vegetable and dip it into the flour.

fried_veggie_09
Make sure that it is cover with flour, use a spoon to stir the vegetable to make sure it is well covered with flour.

fried_veggie_10
Then, heat up the wok and pour some oil into the hot wok. Wait for the oil to get hot enough, then put the vegetable into the hot oil slowly one by one.

fried_veggie_11
Fried it until it turn into golden brown, remember not to fried it too long, cause the color after golden brown is just like this chocolate brown. So make sure the fire is turn into minimum, and pay attention when frying the vegetable. It look just like fried prawn isn’t it.

fried_veggie_12
But there is a way to save the chocolate brown over fried vegetable. You cut some chili, and put some nice decoration beside the serving place, this is to extract the attention on the over fried prawn.

Making sushi

“What else is in the menu?” I asked my friend
“Later we will make sushi.” They answer me.
*what!, vegetarian sushi. There is such thing!* whisper inside me.
I like sushi, but the rice need to be taste good when mix with vinegar. They have to master the ratio of the rice and vinegar perfectly, and the rice not too wet. When wrapping the sushi, must be tight enough (this is only my personnel comments).

But most important is that as long as the person who make the sushi with full hearted, though the taste is not good I will also finish all the sushi. It happen to me few days back when my friend make sushi for the first time, though is not very delicious, but she really puts effort in, so I ate all the sushi she give me.

Rice mix with vinegar.

the “skin” of the sushi (vegetarian version). Hm~~~the one that we usually eat, aren’t those also consider vegetarian?

oh, here we go again, one of the main ingredients. Carrot, and some cucumber

This is the mini bamboo mat that use to wrap the sushi

so first we put the sushi “skin” on the bamboo mat

then we put some rice on the sushi “skin”, make sure the rice are all place equally on the “skin”.

how can a sushi complete without any meat, so we can add in vegetarian ham meat. (depends on personnel preference)

Add in carrot, vegetarian ham meat, and cucumber. For my own ratio 1:2:1

so after that, we have to carefully roll the sushi by using the bamboo mat.

make sure the sushi are wrap tight enough, if is not tight enough the rice will not stick together.

look very tasty, then come the most important steps. I’m the QC here, so my job is the most important part, cause if they fail this part they will have to redo all the thing again. So I take one sushi, analyze it, put it into my mouth. Not bad, good. Ok they pass :P

This is two of the chef, Peter and little prices.

this is for our invited guests.

Fake vegetarian Story

After work up the next morning, there is still a lot of preparation to do for tonight grand opening ceremony. My seniors had prepared us a simple and nutritious vegetarian lunch. My senior told me that carrot contain good nutrition, and is good for eyes, so it’s one of the main ingredients for preparing vegetarian food. Second chili is their favorite kind of taste, they can’t like without chili, so it is the second main ingredients

The vegetarian food manufacture had “invent” a lots of vegetarian food, like vegetarian meat, vegetarian meat floss, vegetarian fish, vegetarian this, vegetarian that, anything they can think of, they will make it into vegetarian.
But there is one case about vegetarian food which violate the vegetarian law.

Few years back there is one manufacture produce vegetarian crab meat, so in order to make it taste and smell like a real the manufacture didn’t use the real crab meat to produce the vegetarian crab meat.

but they mix the crab meat, and squish it to get the liquid. Then they mix the liquid together with the vegetarian crab meat.

My senior told me that so that’s why when he serve the dish to his guess, they all shock and told him that they’re on vegetarian and cannot eat this crab meat. Then my senior very curious, and told them that this is vegetarian crab meat.

Lastly they didn’t take the ceab meat. Then few months later, my senior had read a news from the paper saying that a manufacture which produce vegetarian food had use inappropriate ingredients to manufacture vegetarian crab meat.

The government had issue letter to the factory, so the factory had now shut down. Then after that they never saw that crab meat sold in the market anymore.

My comment is that ok, you want to make profit, that is ok cause your are creative. But don’t violate the law, or do something which can harm other people.

You may earn lots of money, but do you feel comfortable and happy when you use that money?

cooking the ginger to make the food spicy

This is two of my friends, they do all the cooking and the decoration of the dishes. I was really impress, cause when I first meet them they like to play around, likes to joke. But when they serious, they know lots of thing.

this is sweet corn with vegetarian meat floss.

They know I prefer meat, so they cook this ginger vegetarian meat.

Long bean with mushroom

They all like this, this is vegetable sweet corn chili special

The 2% of the mooncake goes to…

This is a special edition post
Q: So who made the 2%?
A: My dear reader if you guess is Wilson Chin (Me), then you’re correct. Email me your address so that I can reward you a mooncake next year :P
From the last photo in my Mooncake class post, if look carefully you will see that there is a Doraemon version mooncake at the bottom left corner. That is Wilson Chin’s version mooncake. When I decided to make my own mooncake, I keep on thinking what kind of color I should mix. Then, since I like doraemon so much, I might as well make myself a Doraemon mooncake. So I started with white as his face, then just when I wanted to mix the blue color in. I notice it was not as easy as I think, so I skip that part and make two beautiful eyes and a big smile for Doraemon.

Opss, I put too much “skin” into the mould.

But when there is a will there is a way, so I modify a bit and my doraemon had a new happy face.

Mixing color is really difficult, I better stick to one color mooncake.

making_mooncake_12
Wanted to make another version of Doraemon, but running out of idea.

making_mooncake_13
But at last I did successfully produce four beautiful mooncake for me to celebrate this coming festive session.
---------------------------------------------
Making mooncake is fun, happy belated mid-autumn(mooncake) festival my dear readers :)

Buy Vegetable @ Night Market near Kuching Waterfront

While the girls are at home cooking, we guys then went out to buy some stock for the dinner tomorrow. Yet again, this is my first time buy vegetable at Kuching, and at so late (we went there around 12.30am). We went to the market near Kuching waterfront. My friend asked me to help choose some veggie, and I did. They bough a lots of chili, they like spicy food. For me I can’t stand spicy food, but I can’t expect them to tolerance me, so I just have to eat the spicy stuff. Hope I’ll get use to it soon.

I still remember the firs time when I join my Buddhist friend for dinner. When I arrive at the temple, they were just finish cooking, and they asked me to join in for dinner.

I told them I’ve just taken my dinner (curry chicken, and fried chicken). But they insist me join them.

So ok, I then go for my second round. So when I just about to sit down at the dinning table, I was speechless…

I start to count the dishes on the table, and there were five dishes. And what make me speechless is that…

all veggie

but I was fortunate enough there is some bean curd, so I ate that.

then I’ve also drink the soup, the soup smell nice.

but just when I start to drink, I was chock. Because it was too spicy, I keep on coughing, and they all laugh me.

My friends was kind enough to hurry get a glass of water to me.

and after I finish my dinner, I’m sweating. It was like I just finish bath.

Having fun making mooncake

My senior told me that during the opening ceremony, we will sell mooncake to help the temple raise money. There are many invited guess on that day, so this time our temple will prepare the dishes themselves.

Tomorrow is the grand opening ceremony, so tonight there will be no sleep for each and everyone of us. We still have a lot to prepare, and feels that time is running out fast. But is fun to work together with a bunch of young people, and I never feel hungry during my stay at the temple, there is always something to eat. I feel that I’m getting fatter.

I notice one of the main ingredients in vegetarian food is carrot, they use a lots of carrot. Carrot is god, I like carrot, carrot good for eyes.

Jelly mooncake, the first layer of the mooncake.

All kind of flavors, there is strawberry, orange, and blackcurrent.

on the base of the mooncake, they use coconut milk.

This is to make colorful mooncake

A group photo, the mooncake chef told me that she never try making mooncake, this is her first time making it. *wipe cold sweat* can eat or not?

This is our dinner for that night, we all had a late dinner. And all of the dishes are vegetable. *wipe cold sweat for the second time*

this is how the storeroom looks like, is a bit mess.

We also had desert after dinner, this is bubu cha cha.

The ingredients are carrot, potato, and some other ingredients which I forgot. It taste sweet, I like it very much.

Making the flower decoration

Last week, I was celebrating an opening ceremony of a Buddhist temple. The night before the opening ceremony, I overnight at the temple to help my friends for the preparation, and some photography documentary. One of my senior friend from the temple, he was in charge of everything in the temple. After finish cooking, cleaning, arranging, decorating, and etc. when I know it, the time was 3.30am, no wonder I felt so tired.

Then I saw my friend was preparing to decorating flower, he told me he did learn how to do this few years back, and now is the time to show off. So I also want to give it a try. This is the first time I ever do such decoration, cause for me this is the girl stuff. But it is a very good experience. I didn’t do all the decorating, I only give comments, and do some minor adjustment.

My dear reader, next time call me when you need help on decoration. Sorry for the blur image my dear reader, cause I was tired + sleepy, and cannot 100% concentrate when took photos. So when you do something without 100% concentration, you will only get bad results.

They call this floral foam, before use it need to soak into water to let it absorb as much water as possible, why? I don’t know

My friend was kind enough to let me try, and help. I really learn when I do something on my own.

In Chinese this is call 勿忘我, which mean “Always Remember Me”, this is more expensive than chrysanthemum. This flower usually sells like hot cakes during valentine.

some leafs for decoration

I guess this might be the legendary chrysanthemum

Yellow Chrysanthemum, and red mum

The flower can last for about one week, so after one week we need to purchase new flower to replace the older one

walah!! The end results.

I like this one more, cause it had a combination of each flowers.

My grandma 82nd birthday

Grandma had celebrated her 82nd birthday few days ago. Few years back, most of my cousin brother and sister were still single and available, but who know few years later today, when grandma birthday everyone coma back home to celebrate, and this time they are not alone. They also have their wife and husband together with their children. OMG!!! The house was full of little baby, and kids. I almost fainted, but grandma was HAPPY.

This year grandma is 82 years old, and I wish she can stay healthy as always. So few years down the road if I ever get marry that early she can also hold my kids. My grandma is the best. This year I spend less time back home company grandma, hope that my business can get stable, and then I’ll have more free time to go home. Talk about home, I missed my home at Limbang as well, really hope I can go back home now and have mom’s cook dinner.

70% of the dishes were meat.

After birthday song, grandma make a wish, and blow the candles. So grandma was officially 82 years old.

Making Peanut Cookie

Making cookie is a mission impossible for me even with the prepared ingredients, and recipe. One of my friends likes to make cookie every much so my friend had decided to make cookie to share with us. That night, after preparing all the relevant ingredients, then we all start.

Making cookie is really not an easy job, it require both patient and interest in baking stuff (which I don’t have). But I do have patient in waiting for the cookie to finish baking, and I also do have the interest to become a QC to test the cookie after backing. My friend made peanut cookie, which is my favorite. Two thumbs up for the peanut cookies.
