Kuching festival had started last 2 weeks ago, I went there with couple of friends. We had our dinner there, was full. This is the 2007 Kuching Festival, and time flies, I’ve been at Kuching for seven years already. Three more years I’ll be here for ten year. Few years back, beside food stalls and exhibition stalls. They also have a mini amusement park, but this few year they had focus must on selling stuff, making profit, instead of let the Kuching people have fun, relax. If it wasn’t for my friends, I think I’ll skip this year Kuching festival.
Now is month of July in the Chinese Lunar calendar, in tradition this is also the month of the ghost. The door from hell open, and let the ghost out to have fun, visit their friends *cough*, some people will prepare a lot of food to feed them in order to have good luck, some business owner will also burn a lot of “hell money” for them, in return hope their business will operate smoothly. I don’t quite believe in this stuff, but yet still have to be careful when going out.
So my dear reader, I wish you all happy month of ghost. Drive slowly, and take care.

welcome to Kuching Festival 2007, let’s go for dinner.

I went there after I off work at 6pm, have to come early. If late this place will be pack with people, no place to sit.

kids favorite, balloon boy

my friend told me that because of Kuching fest, his daily food stall business had drop. Another friend of my told me her shop is not doing well each year when the Kuching festival start.

I order one of this I-CHI-Ban~~~

my friend noodles. RM2.50

i-chi-bun, RM5.00

my coke, RM1.20. Increase 20sen compare to last year.

this is …forgot…

spicy squids, I don’t like the sauce, is tasteless. Not recommend.

fried yam, at first I tough there is meat in the middle, but when I ate..100% yam.

I like this, peanut on the outside, and soft candy on the inside. Not bad…

That night, after the Kuching Fest, my friend called me. I went to the steamboat buffet with them, my second round dinner.
