Before Chinese New Year at Limbang
I went roamed at the town area, and some tourist destination. First I went to Takis Mas translate to English is Gold Lake Park. Is situated on a higher ground, a 5 minutes drive from the Limbang town, the park has a canteen, a jogging track, and a man made lake. In between the lake there is a suspension bridge that connects the lake from one end to another. During my secondary school time, I use to escape from class and hide here with friends finishing and sleeping the whole morning. Now come to think of it, is really a stupid move. I should stay in the class, pay attention and learn more.
Then I went to the wet market, the wet market sells prawns, fishes, crabs, stingray, shells, and others. Behind the wet market, is a river. This is the Limbang River, opposite the river is a Malay village. The only way for the Malay friends to go town is to cross the Limbang river. I’m not sure how deep is the Limbang river, but she had took many lives. This river also serve as a Transportation channel. The cargo ship will use this river to ship stuff from other place like Kuching, Miri or Sibu. This river is also the only way to go to Labuan one of the federal territory of Malaysia by using speed boat. Limbang River also host several water activities, like dragon boat festival, speed boat racing, kayaking, and etc.
Then I drive my parent out to a warehouse like supermarket to buy tin food, mandarin orange, some daily usage. The weather is hot, my Kuching friends told me Kuching had been raining since the day I leave. But not for Limbang, is had been this hot for almost a week. But is good, cause tomorrow night can play firecracker.
That evening, I bring my friend to the Buddhist temple. The location of this Buddhist temple is at the middle of a hill, when you reach the temple, there is one pavilion that sits near the cliff. Is very windy there, and you can enjoy the breathtaking view there. Ok, enough of the story. Enjoy the photos my dear reders.

Takis Mas, English is Gold Lake park. They said that long time ago this is a gold mined, after finish digging all the gold. The government had decide to beautify this lake to become a tourist attraction.

The Malay village people crossing the Limbang River.

This is Limbang wet market, it sells all kind of seafood with a reasonable price.

This is how the wet market looks like, this part sells vegetable, fruits, eggs, and other. The stalls are located by the Limbang district council, and every certain time the district council will relocate the location of each stall, so there will not be a permanent place for them. This month Wilson maybe at stall No.3, but after few months Wilson maybe will be at stall No.20.

I drive my parent to this warehouse like supermarket to buy food supply.

In the late evening, I drive my friend to the Buddhist temple.

That night, I help my brother to decorate my house.

My dear readers, how is your Chinese New Year? May all of you have good health, good fortune, good career, good relationship with your family and love one.

Selamat Tahun Baru Cina 2007
Went to the open air night market drink with my friends. Just when we’re on our way back to our car, a crowd of people gather at the waterfront. We join in the crowd to check what’s going on. The Hacka Association having a Chinese New Year celebration night.
When the lion dance performance was on first. They put a red package on top of the bamboo, and the lion will take down the red package. The bamboo stick was tall, so they have to hold it to make it stand. I wait and wait, and the stupid lion just swing here and there. Just when my friends and I was about to leave, everyone start clapping their hands. Oh, the lion had finally manage to climb up the bamboo and get the red package.
Next was music performance, an old dude will be singing Chinese New Year song. What happen is 80% of the people leave the place after the lion dance performance (including me), which only left a few kids standing there listen to that old dude singing. I need to help mom prepare new year goodies, so my friends and I went back home and sleep.

Just when my friends and I finish our drink at the night market, notice a crowd of people gathering at the waterfront.

it was a Chinese New Year 2007 celebration.

A lion dance performance before Chinese New Year…cool…

The lion need to jump to the top of the bamboo by using his kungfu, and take down the red package, but after 15minutes the chicken shit lion still wondering at the ground.

oh finally, you got it.

This is the crowd during the lion dance, after the lion dance only 10%-20% of the people stay back to see the next show.

Home sweet home
Hello my dear readers, I safely reach back home :) just when I reach Limbang airport, I hurry called my brother to come and pick me, he said OK. So I wait and wait, after 15 minutes I’m was still at the airport. So I call him again, he answer me that he just finish picking up his girlfriend, and now just on the way to pick me. I’m speechless…
When reach home, I was greed by my old buddy Rocky boy, and it good to see my mom and dad as well. I put my luggage in my room, and browse my house. Can see that there is a new DVD player, a few new cupboard, and mom’s flower garden had become bigger and bigger.
The next few days I’ll be helping to clean the house for Chinese New Year. For Decoration, I’ll just leave it to mom, cause I hate doing this decoration stuff. My brother had bough two red lantern, he will put that one up soon.
Next day, I went to the Immigration Department to renew my passport. Then I went to the old market to eat kolomee (soya sauce noodle), then to the Limbang museum, the wet market, old temple, my school, my friend’s shop and others places. Actually I need to work as well when I’m back home, but now I’m already in a holiday mood, so who care right.
Below are some photos I shoot at Limbang, enjoy my dear readers :)

can see the orange building? That’s the only tower at Limbang called “Limbang Plaza” it a shopping complex cum government office cum hotel.

Welcome to Limbang guys

I went to the Chinese Old Temple, and it was drizzling.

This is the first time I ever hold a lion dance head, and it was heavy.

This is behind the wet market, the Malay village which live opposite the Limbang river they need to use boat to come to the Limbang market to purchase thing, go to school, and go to work.

I went to the Limbang museum, this is me in front of the museum

it was a hot day, I went to the food court at the market to have a lyche drink RM1.00

I order my drink from this Soon Lee Café, the waiter look very much like a Malay. But actually he’s a Chinese, lucky I didn’t speak Malay with him.

This is the kolomee (soya sauce noodle) RM1.70 that I haven’t eat for two years.

Just when I was about to go home, I saw a guy very familiar…then I notice it was my brother buy rose for her girlfriend to celebrate Valentine’s day with her.

Wish all of you a very Happy Valentine’s Day 2007

Going home soon…
I’ll be going back home this coming Saturday, feel very happy and exited. I didn’t told my parent when I’ll be going back, want to give my mom a surprise!!! I’ll be overnight at Miri one night, the next morning back to my hometown Limbang.
This few days I’m in a holiday mood, always thinking of going home. No mood to work, I need to do my new year shopping tomorrow, else not enough time. New Year is a time where I can put my work pressure, my worries, my financial burden, my responsibilities aside for a while. Is really good to be at home, I love my home, and there is no place like it.
To all my dear reders, wish you all a happy and safe journey on going back your home :) and see you all at Limbang (there I’ll have more time to update my blog).

this is the biggest cempedak that I had ever saw!!!

My ternaries are hanging on the wall, and I’m watching it everyday.

Booking Status : CONFIRMED !!!!

Dinner @ Servant Restaurant
Last week, went to The Servant to have my dinner. I’ve pass by this restaurant several times, but until last week I just know this is a vegetarian restaurant. What a unique name “Servant” …
Like any other restaurant, the interior was well decorated with yellow ceiling lighting, fully air-conditioner, soft background music which will make you feel sleepy when wait for your food to arrive. The food taste not bad. Just a little too oily for my rice, cause vegetarian food suppose to be healthy, they should put less oil.

the interior or the restaurant, just like any other restaurant, round table with wooden chairs.

this is a free dish for asking us to wait for long time. Deep fried vegetarian fish.

my jasmine tea…

a big bowl of vegetarian beef noodle.

my fried rice with seaweed.
--------------------------------------------
I’m having a terrible flu for month, anyone please help me :S
