Lunch @ Thai Restaurant

The restaurant owner she can speck Chinese, and she can also speak Thai, she look just like a local Kuching people. Inside the restaurant is fully air-conditioned. She love her country, I saw she has the portrait of Thailand King and Queen hanging on the wall.

The signature of Thai food are spicy. So my friend and I had tried the Thai curry. And the taste was great. I’ve order a dish called Otak-Otak. In Malay otak means brain, but in Thai…hm~~~ anyway, I er….the display is pretty, but the taste I’m not use to it.

This restaurant had been establish on more than 5 years, highly recommended!!! It also has vegetarian, the price is a bit expensive. But with the good food, is all worth the money.

01
The woman in black is the restaurant owner, she look just like a local Kuching people, when I order my food I also speak Chinese with her. I saw her talking to the mobile with very fluent Thai.

02
A traditional Thailand like decoration.

03
A huge Thailand coin handing on the wall as decoration.

04
I order a Thailand green tea, the glass had a filter which can keep the tea leaf at the bottom of the glass.

05
This is curry squid, the taste was great. But they should put more squid instead of onion and carrot.

06
Thailand curry, it serve with a very cute pot. The interesting part is that the pot is warm by real fire.

07
a very special and cute pot, good way to keep the food warm.

08
Otak-Otak, very strange taste. I’m not use to it, but I like the display.

The Worst Kolo Mee I Ever Ate

I went to KingCenter Ta Lai for lunch yesterday. Most of the stalls are not open, the business at Ta Lai nowadays had drop tremendously. The people are getting less and less. I wanted to try something new today, so I walk to a stall, and told the chef to fried kolomee for me. I wanted to add in some squid, but she don’t have, so I’ll just go with what she recommend then. Waited for about 10 minutes, my noodles arrive I look at the color of my noodle... this is not what I expected. I give it a try, OMG!!! Is this really kolomee or what? it taste bad, is a fried noodle and suppose to be dry and sour. I told me friend that this is the worse kolomee that I had ever ate. Lesson learns today is that never try something which is not in the menu.

kolo mee

but in the end I still finish my noodle :S
is like a nightmare.

Tree? Stovepipe?

I was driving very slowly looking for an empty parking slot; I’ve been turning for two rounds still no luck. So I park my car far away, just when I pass by this tree, I pause for a while and turn my head back. Hm~~is this a tree or a stovepipe? How they do it?

01
I was on my way to meet a friend, along the way I was kindda curious on why there is this tree in the middle of the car park?

02
well, it looks like a tree. But there is a stovepipe in the tree, the surface of the pipe had been warped by tree branches.

03
this is a very interesting scene. I wonder whose work is this? How do they do it, and when does they do it?

04
is this a tree of stovepipe?

“Today Special” Vegetarian Pizza

Welcome to DM’s Kitchen. Today we will learn on how to bake a vegetarian pizza. So now let us start with the ingredients first. *me putting up my chef hat*. Ok so the things that we need to prepare are one ready made pizza where you can buy from any supermarket. Follow by Vegetarian ham, corn, carrot, green bean, mayonnaise sauce, mushroom, potato, and cheese.

Then this is the fun part, all you need to do is to put all the ingredients that you prepare on top of the ready made pizza. Yes, is just as simple as putting jam on the bread. After that, slowly put your pizza into the oven. Set the timer for 15 minutes, then grab a magazine or newspaper, sit down and wait. So after you hear the *ting* sound that’s the sound of saying “I’m ready to be eat”. Take the pizza out from the oven, make some pure orange juice and share it with friends or family.

So thank you all for tuning in on DM’s Kitchen. Stay tune for our next cooking episode, till then see ya :)

My portrait and Dinner @ Magenta

My friend bough one of my favorite choco bar for me Kinder Bueno, is the white milk flavor. The one that I usually ate were the Chocolate flavor; I would prefer the choco version instead of the milk flavor. Especially chocolate with hazel nuts, I’ll go nuts.

After off work, went to my friend bridal studio to teach him on how to use Power Point. He need to give a health presentation on this coming Sunday, then he help me took a portrait shoot of me in his studio.

I went to Magenta…for my dinner. Order a chicken steak, the food portion is enough for two people. I had mushroom soup, chicken steak, and a big plate of chicken salad. I was so full that I barely walk. The time now is 11.06pm, good night my dear reader. I need to sleep early.

01
Kinder Bueno, each pack had two individual wrapped chocolate bars. The milk flavor is nice, but I prefer the chocolate flavor.

02
a portrait shoot that I took at my friend bridal studio with my digital compact camera

03
the place where I had my dinner, the total we spend is RM78 for dinner. We had lamb shang, mushroom soup, orange juice, carrot juice, and spicy chicken salad.
