Breakfast @ Petaling Street

The six of us over night at a tiny room, it was a nightmare last night. But lucky it was just one night. So the next morning, my friends and I went to Petaling Street to eat porridge, my friend told me that the porridge here is the best.

I ordered fish porridge, the fish meat still raw, and I mix it to my porridge. The porridge was very hot; I’ve burn my tongue because of it. I don’t know how they made it, but the porridge remains hot until the very last scoop I ate. This porridge are very sticky, and the taste is really good. To compare with the porridge I like at Kuching here and here, my comments is that each of them have their own unique taste, they cannot be compare.

early breakfast at petaling street, later we need to catch the bus to Port Dickson.

look tasty right? The famous fish porridge (RM4) at Petaling Street.

Vegetable Noodle, and Night View of Sunday Market

My friend knows that I don’t like to eat vegetable, so she bought me a noodle made from vegetable. She told me that this is good for me health, and the portion is a lot, is enough for two people to eat. But in the end, I still manage to finish all of it.

That night, out with friends for supper. I crave for the sio bi at open air, haven’t been there for along time. Yesterday night finally have the chance to eat the sio bi, it was delicious. And after that we went to the Sunday Market where I can get cheap, clean, big, juicy apples.

Here is some shoot which I took at the overhead bridge. Kuching is really a beautiful and peaceful city.

Vegtable Noodle, people can actually think of any tactic, idea, just to keep their business going.

I ate eight, while my friend ate two.

On the left side are Satok Plaza, Maybank, and small shotlots. While on the right are Sunday Market. Sunday Market only operate their business on Saturday evening, until Sunday morning.

Cars coming from the Satok Bridge, the independent day of Malaysia is just at the corner, and this year Kuching has been selected as the city to be celebrate in big time.

Miri – Part Two of Six

This post actually need to go first, but I was so excited to show your guys the new park to I change the sequence a bit.

So before I went to Miri Park, my friends and I had dinner at a western food restaurant called the “Blue Ginger”. Upon entering the restaurant, I notice they painted one of the walls with seaside view, this had give customer a very unique feel that they are dinning at an exotic beach restaurant. With centimental background music the atmosphere is easy and relaxed. There are still plenty of empty seats as the time is still early. The waiter and waitress are very friendly, they greed us, open the door for us, and even show us to our seat. We wear very simple and casual but yet, still been treated nicely. This is the attitude they should adopt when doing business.

At Kuching, some of the restaurant and even shop they will judge you by your look / attire. If you look rich, no doubt you will get the VIP treatment, but if you dress casual then they will give you the “pls get out of here, we only serve rich people” looks. In this society why must they be so realistic, we are all same human beings.

For our dinner, we had order a beef fillet steak, a chicken schnitzel, and a tropical salad, and we share our food. Personally the chicken schnitzel is quiet tasty, it also come with a small bowl of tropical salad, but the beef required some chewing, and the meat does not have too much of the taste. For the tropical salad, the ingredients are tomatoes, cucumber, onions, and one big cabbage leaf. I don’t like vegetable much, but I did give it a try and it taste ordinary. We had to quickly finish our dinner, as I still have a second date tonight…

Sibu – Day Three (Last Day)

On my last day at Sibu, I went to the night market near my hotel. At Kuching the night market only available on Saturday and Sunday but here the market operates every night. It starts at 5.00pm something, so after my 5.30pm work the time is just right for me.

I’m very hungry that time, as I only had a “kan pua” (noodle) for my lunch. Sibu is very famous for “kan pua” I think Sibu had the best and cheapest “kan pua” noodles. When I reach the night market, I start to buy the thing I like to eat. Beside selling food the night market also sales many others stuff like clothes, watches, daily usage, wallet, bags, umbrella, you name it, I think they have it.

After buying food, there is still enough time for me to rush back hotel to catch my Hong Kong series. I bought so many things with just around RM4.00 something, OMG! Is very cheap, at Kuching I cannot get this price. The food is not just cheap, but very tasty as well (or maybe because I am hungry that time). Anyway I seldom spend money on food without thinking, and this is the first time and it feels good. Actually I had bought a lot more, but if I post it all up you guys surely will think that I’m like a hungry ghost.

After my dinner, and Hong Kong series. I was very full and tired, wanted to sleep but can’t. After bath, my phone rang. It was my cousin brother, so I went out with him again to have my second round dinner. We went to a place where there is a lot of food stall selling western food, Malay food, and Chinese food. My cousin brother had order a lot for me, but I really cannot take it anymore so we waste a lot. Nowadays I had the habit of not wasting food, but that night I really cannot eat anymore, so I feel kinda bad on wasting those foods.

Overall, Sibu is really like a heaven of food. First is Cheap, second is Delicious, third it has so many choices. I’ll be coming back for more food when I have the chance.

New Ice-Kacang Stall

Hi guys…I’m back.

Yesterday evening went to the new ice-kacang stall, last time it was like this. After that the government had take up their place to build a beautiful park, and the Sarawak Government had also build a new food stall for them to operate their business.

This building had it own unique design, is not like any other food stall that build in a strait line, this one is a circle. So before you choose which stall to sit down, you can walk around the stall then make the decision.

My friends and I had chosen this “Ah Yeo Ais Kacang” I guess that the boss uses his sure name as the sign board. I’m craving for ice-kacang now….just when we had finished our drinks, the sky starts to pouring rains. This is still ok for me, what worse is that I forgot to close my car windows, and my car seat are all wet!!!

Ah Yeo Ice Kacang

Is a family business, while the husband do the marketing, then the wife do the production this is a very good coordination between husband and wife.
