The Penrissen Sandstone Exploration Day 1 of 2

I haven't been on a good and memorable hike for quite some time already. This is definitely one of the good ones.
This is because of the covid hence the travel restriction. But good thing that the travel restriction has been lifted recently, and we are able to travel again with terms and conditions.

I was being invited by a hiking friend Mr Ian Vong to hike with him to explore a very interesting area in Padawan. I strongly believe this huge area was a meteor crater from its size and shape.

I am so glad that the weather that day was super sunny, it is very rare that it never rains on my hiking and camping trip.

I love pitcher plant

Some big wall on the summit of the mountain range

Brownish color water, not stagnant, this looks like the waterhead, there are a lot of big and small waterfalls after this.

The color of nature is beautiful and amazing. Some parts of the places is covered by moss.

There are so many big boulders staging between each other, from this point onwards, I am glad that I wear my "kampung Adidas" a good grip is what I needed the most now to navigate myself down.

Two different waterfalls, and meet with each other, and water then flows into this basin.

Is it a big drop below

I was fascinated by the rock formation. Why is there are many red stripes in this rock?

A wide area, again I am so glad that it was a sunny day, if we hike on a rainy day, it will be a challenge to descend.

It is the perfect place to camp, with the freshwater flow, flat ground, breathtaking scenery.

After a long day of the hike, we finally reached our campsite.
The upper part is where clear freshwater, where the lower part is brownish freshwater, and both tributary meets here.

This is the part where clear and brownish freshwater meets together. and continue to flow downstream.

Camping Near Mini Waterfall at Pangasom our Family Farm

The Covid19 has been with us for more than a year. It also restricted our daily movement, working adults need to work from home, children have to study online at home.

For me, it's been a while since I went either hiking or camping. I felt that all my muscles and bones are starting to deteriorate 😅

But fortunately, I can visit my family farmhouse regularly. This enables not only me but also my family a chase to get close to nature, it is our weekend gateway.

That is a safe place since is it our family farm. No outsider will be there, so we basically are safe, and don't have to worry about getting into contact with strangers.
One fine weekend, I decided to bring my family on a camping trip. Is been a while since our last camping trip.

This is the waterfall at the farm. Is a mini waterfall, but is enough for the children to play with.

There are more waterfalls, still many tiers of waterfalls up there, I will show you the picture in my future post.

My girl will need her bunny and Elmo every time she goes to sleep.
AFter the swim, is it time for dinner, and campfire.

My boy, he likes photography like me. How cute is he using the tripod to take pictures.
Playing camp fire with my boy (picture by my girl), I can't make the fire burn so just use my cooking stove 😂
Morning view of my camping tent, and the surrounding of our campsite, this next to the creek, so my children can go swim anytime they want to.
