Sometime we need a few hours to hike to the mount summit, or to a certain check point, so along the way its always good that someone that can cause amusement or laughter to the team, especially a story with a funny punchline, in our group we have a lot of people who do that, and it makes the journey even more fun.
On a camping trip, food plays an important role it not just give us energy, it also unit us together. In a group, there is always that someone who knows how to cook, who owns the practice or skill of preparing food by combining, mixing, and heating ingredients. For me who don't own that skills, its a blessing that my friend can cook, so my job is to help finished the food that my friend cooked.
Bonding
The more you get together with a bunch of friends the more you will feel the close bond between each other. For me I always feel a close friendship that develops between my buddies, often as a result of shared experiences.
This is Kampung Kidding, a remote village with more than 3 hours of hike. It was my first time visit the place, and I don't have enough food and water. My friends are kind enough to share food and water with me to make sure that I have enough energy to finish this exploration, and to reach the waterfall. So its good to hike with a team that will always look each other back.
When we hike to a new place, we will need to hire local guide, sometime even porter. Due to the rough terrain, some of the expenses is not cheap. Good to have a team to share the expenses together, so we can lighten our burden, instead of paying all the expenses by yourself.
We camp at the Santubong Moun valley, beside our camp side there is a stream with crystal clear water. We camp there regularly, and we like it very much. Everytime after we finish our dinner, we will go and dip in the stream. Its fun to have night swim together with friends.
We are at Mount Murud, the highest mount in Sarawak, Borneo. Its a hike which last us for 3 days. Its very difficult to access this place, with all the rough terrain, muddy trail, and humid mossy forest. Good thing that we are in a group, and we motivate each other, when we are tired, we rest together, share a cup of hot drinks and off we go again.
In Sarawak, we have a lot of waterfall, countless waterfall waiting to be discover. And in a team, we can share the location on the waterfall that we visit before, and visit that place together.
My team and I was on a 3 hours hike, after we reached the summit we spend too much time on the summit and by the time we knew it, it’s already dark. Some of us have headlight, some of us don’t. So the one with light walk first, and we follow at the back.
Mother Nature creates the most beautiful art, and we must go for that extra mile to enjoy it. If you go alone, you will be demotivated. That is why is good to have a team that can always motivate each other, and when that moment arrive, we witness the art of nature together, magical experience.
When we are in the jungle, we can only depend on our teammate to help us in case of emergency. If one of us are injurt, the other one will help to carry the heavy backpack, the water bottle, the food, and to give a shoulder to lean on for a rest. Teamwork make things happen!!!
Explore and enjoy the adventure together as a team, and we can concur any mountain, swim in any stream, exploring any waterfall, and camp in any jungle condition.
所谓团结就是力量,一起时大家就有能力征服高山,探索瀑布,在任何艰难的环境下露营。

My brother and I was driving from Miri to Limbang, and we have to transit to the Brunei country. Then I just took at opportunity to visit some of the place I stayed when I was very little around 25 years ago.
We are at the immigration office getting our passport stamp to go into Brunei.
And we have reached Brunei Darussalam :D
Kianggeh open market
A traditional market located on the banks of Kianggeh River, the residents of Kampong Ayer travel to and fro from BSB (Bandar Seri Begawan). I stayed here when I was little, and after 30 years I can still see the people paddling their sampan to the market to sell their stuff.
Fresh tropical fruits, local vegetables and ferns, spices, medicinal roots; herbs, and abundant preserved seafood are on sale. Fresh catch of the day from the local waters are found here..... fish, crabs, prawns, squid and shellfish. Local traditional handicrafts like tudung dulang (a decorative food cover), parang (a knife similar to a machete), hand-woven baskets and trays, pots and vases can also be found. If one would like to try out some local food, there are a few food stalls selling sweet and savoury Bruneian delicacies.
Best time to visit this market is early morning as most of the stalls are closed by 2.00 to 3.00pm and on Sundays because the locals will bring more food and wares to spread out to sell.
Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque
Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque is an Islamic mosque located in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of the Sultanate of Brunei. Named after Omar Ali Saifuddien III, the 28th Sultan of Brunei who also initiated its construction, the mosque serves as a symbol of the Islamic faith in Brunei and dominates the skyline of Bandar Seri Begawan. The building was completed in 1958 and is an example of modern Islamic architecture.
Around 25 years ago my dad always bring me and my brother to come here, and we will always play at the ceremonial barge. That day when I was there, it brings back a lot of childhood memories of me and brothers. Time passes just so fast...
Brunei Museum
Brunei's national museum, officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1972, is a decent place to blow an hour of your time. It definitely feels a little dated. When I reach there, I saw it was close, so I asked the guide there, and he told me that as of May 2014, the museum was still closed for renovations.
What a pity~ how I wish I can go inside and revisit the place again. Guess have to wait next time then.
This is another place my dad use to bring me and my brother come during the weekends. And the place that I memories the most is the spiral bridge at the back of the museum, as my brother and I took a picture there.
It was great that after so many years, I'm able to revisit the place I stayed when I was little. Really help me recall to many sweet childhood memories of me, dad, mum, and my brothers. Bye Brunei, I will see you again soon.
I'm in front of Song Kheng Hai food center, and as a local Kuching people we will know that everyday there will be two to three parking lot are occupied not by car, but by dry noodles. This shop owner will always dry its noodles at the parking lot here except raining day. Last time there is use to be a very old classic green color car parked here, but not sure where did it go already. The owner has been drying the noodles here for very long time arleady, so before I can no longer see this better took a picture to save as memory.
