One Day Trip to Matang Wild Life Centre

It was a hot weekend last week; my friend and I went to enjoy the cold stream water at the Matang Family Park. The last time I visited this place was three years ago. The park here beside steam water, they also had chalet which cost a hundred plus for one night, then there is area which they kept all the orang utan. The park here is taken care by the Sarawak Wildlife and National Park department. So upon entering the park, we need to pay entrance fee. Wilson and the Wildlife Wilson love swimming

To The Beach and Rain

”We still go to the beach?” I asked my friend once I’m in his car. I follow a group of friends to Sampadi Beach on the first of January. “Ya, still going :)” my friend answer me. Our destination is a open beach, it does not have beautiful resort, does not have toilet, does not have barbeque stand, does not have security guard, is just an open space. To get to the beach, need to pass by Matang, then cross a river by using a ferry. While crossing the river, the rain had stop. The win is strong and cold, can tell that a heavy rain is coming. It tooks us about one hour to reach the beach, we unload all our drinks, chicken curry, lamb curry, eggs, chicken wing, fried noodles, junk food, and many more. The senior uncle and aunties, they start the fire for barbeque. While waiting, we all walk around the beach. The win is so strong that I had a feeling that I was going to blown away by it. The rain start to drizzle, I feel cold and hungry. The beach is cover by coconut trees and pine trees. Th...

Two Days One Night @ Sematan Palm Beach Resort, Kuching

White sand, big wave, coconut drink, gentle breeze, and hot chicks. They got it all here at Sematan Palm Beach Resort, I went there for a two day one night trip with my friends. We rented a room for 6 people for RM390, this include 6 packs of dinner and breakfast. One of our friends is kind enough to drive us all the way from Kuching to Sematan; it took us one and a half hour to reach Sematan. Our check in time is 2pm, just when we settle down I head to the beach first. Wow, the sun is burning me. I can’t wait to jump into the sea, but I don’t want to get Sunburn to I wait. The rest of my gang are all in the room preparing lunch, we had bring along a lot of food, for dinner we have BBQ vegetarian style (most of them are vegetarians) we BBQ corn, potato, vegetarian sausage, and vegetarian chicken. This is the fist time I have a vegetarian BBQ, not bad, and we also have steamboat for dinner. Just when the clock reaches 4pm, we all head to the beach. This place is crowded with people, is ...

Serapi Mount Climbing @ Kubah National Park

When I open my eyes, the sun is shining into my room. I look at the clock, OMG!!! It’s almost 8am. Last night I promise my friends that I’ll meet up with them 7am sharp to have breakfast together then go Matang, Kubah National Park to conquer the Matang mount together. I’m one hour late, I hurry get ready and drive to my friend place, just what I expected, I’m not the only one who is late, there a few of them late as well. Is a beautiful Sunday morning, everyone wants to wake up late. After having our dinner, off we go to Kubah National Park. This park is just located next to Matang Family Park phase 2. We have more than 10 people so our entrance fees would be RM20 for a group of 5 people. This time I’m in a tip top condition unlike when I conquer Santubong Mount. The path to the top of the mount is well cover with tar, cause there is a transmitter tower on top of the mount. It might look easy to go up, but with some part as stiff as 45 degree, it requires much stamina to go up. Ther...

Mountain Climbing @ Mount Santubong Kuching Sarawak - Part Three of Three

Mini Series of Mount Santubong Mount Santubong Post 1 of 3 Mount Santubong Post 2 of 3 Mount Santubong Post 3 of 3 Going downs about 45 minutes. Going down the mountain is must more easy than going up, there is three starting point to go up Santubong. We choose the second point to go up, and had chosen the third point to go down. For the third one, we after we reach down Santubong, we need to walk another 20 minutes to reach Green Café where we park our car. Peter and Boon race their way to the car when they reach the bottom of the mount. For me I don’t have any energy, I just sit at the road side, and wait for them to come and drive me home. This is some of the photos I shoot during my way up Santubong, sorry no photo from the mountain peak. But I promises that for my next Santubong trip, I will post lots of photos from the summit. > This is my gang… L-R: Austin (Green Cap), Chua, Boon, Wilson Chin (Me), Peter.
