Sematan (also known as Simatan) is a settlement in the Lundu division of Sarawak, Malaysia. It lies approximately 67.5 kilometres (42 mi) west-north-west of the state capital Kuching. It is a small fishing village located at the far west tip of Sarawak Facing the South China Sea and a short distance from the Sarawak-Kalimantan (Indonesia) border.
My trip that day took me almost one hour of car ride, and when I reach the place. It was very sunny, but this did not last long, as after a few hours of stay in the resort, it starts to rain after that. Can't do must when its rain, and this is the monsoon season anyway, so its normal to have rain. The fisherman here all stoped going out fishing, and they will only resume after the monsoon season is over.

There are two island there, the bigger one is called Pulau Talang-Talang Besar (The Big Talang Island) and the small one is called Pulau Talang-talang Kecil (The Small Talang Island). Public are not allow to go to either one of the island, it was a restricted area. Because it is the breading place for sea-turtle, and to enter there, we need to get legal document to enter.
So therefore, I can only watch these two beautiful island from far far away... :(
Overall, its a nice place to relax. Personally one thing that I don't like about private beach, is that everything is money, whatever facilities that you use, you pay. But hey, this is the purpose they setup the resort anyway. As for me, I will prefer to go to the public beach. Where we can enjoy the beauty of the beach for free.
