The fireworks light up the night sky, and I'm so happy that it didn't rain this year, and the firework can display their full potential in the sky. To all my dear readers, Gong Xi Fa Chai, wishing you good health, and good wealth around the year.

A shortcut I discover in the Jalan Kong Ping road area, I found a big dead monitor lizard on the road. A serious injured on the head, so I use a stick to carry that dead lizard, and put aside on the road. Hope that no car will trip over it.

Batu Kawa-Singai mini expedition trip with Wilson Chin

20140114_094609wtmk
This morning I'm going for a mini expedition. Location is on the rural Bau-Singai area. To go there, you will need to take the turn from Batu Kawa to Matang road.
I did map this trip on google earth, but unfortunately google did not update this map, it was since 2008. And from google earth, this area was covered by clouds.

I'm now in a forest garden, where its full of fruits, flowers, and the sound of insect. I can hear the water sound, very close by. So I am going to seek for this river.

What I manage to found is not just river, but two beautiful waterfall too. The water very cold, and fresh. I saw fishes, and shrimps swimming happily in the water. This reminds me of my trip to Lambir Hill National Park at Miri, where I finish my drinking water, and had to drink the stream water, and there are fishes in the water that time, so my guess its that its save to drink.

Lunch @ Excapade Sushi (Kuala Belait) Brunei Darussalam

Kuala Belait is a town located in South-West of Brunei. It is the second largest town in the country, after Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei and functions as the administrative city for the Belait District.
When you see this big tea pot in the round about, you know your in the Belait district already.

One of the branch for Excapade sushi situated at Kuala Belait, from Miri to here is just 2 hours car drive. Before you come to this place, it will be advisable that you called and make a reservation first.

A total of Brunei $48.00. Is cheap, and the food are fresh. We all like it, except mum she don't likes to eat raw fish.

tree fell down
From the looks of the crack line, can tell that this tree just fell down not long ago. It a pity to saw this big tree like this, imagine how many years does it take for it to grow that huge and tall, and how many oxygen that it can produce for the people here. Must educate our friends to cherish and protect our forest.

This shop owner will always dry its noodles at the parking lot here except raining day. Last time there is use to be a very old classic green color car parked here, but not sure where did it go already. The owner has been drying the noodles here for very long time arleady, so before I can no longer see this better took a picture to save as memory.

The Sematan Palm Beach Resort

Sematan (also known as Simatan) is a settlement in the Lundu division of Sarawak, Malaysia. It lies approximately 67.5 kilometres (42 mi) west-north-west of the state capital Kuching. It is a small fishing village located at the far west tip of Sarawak Facing the South China Sea and a short distance from the Sarawak-Kalimantan (Indonesia) border.

My trip that day took me almost one hour of car ride, and when I reach the place. It was very sunny, but this did not last long, as after a few hours of stay in the resort, it starts to rain after that. Can't do must when its rain, and this is the monsoon season anyway, so its normal to have rain. The fisherman here all stoped going out fishing, and they will only resume after the monsoon season is over.

There are two island there, the bigger one is called Pulau Talang-Talang Besar (The Big Talang Island) and the small one is called Pulau Talang-talang Kecil (The Small Talang Island). Public are not allow to go to either one of the island, it was a restricted area. Because it is the breading place for sea-turtle, and to enter there, we need to get legal document to enter.

So therefore, I can only watch these two beautiful island from far far away... :(

Overall, its a nice place to relax. Personally one thing that I don't like about private beach, is that everything is money, whatever facilities that you use, you pay. But hey, this is the purpose they setup the resort anyway. As for me, I will prefer to go to the public beach. Where we can enjoy the beauty of the beach for free.
